JMorgan fishing

This post is also available in: frFrançais deDeutsch

The Grand Mesa, located just 35 miles northwest of Montrose, and a prominent landmark from both Grand Junction and Delta, is the worlds largest flat-topped mountain. With over 300 lakes and trout streams, this mesa provides multiple opportunities for fishing.

The Western Colorado Outdoors guide to fishing on Grand Mesa will consist of three separate posts, due to the sheer volume of content.

Juanita Reservoir- elevation 5,703 feet

Additional Info:
-Fishing is with flies and lures only. Scented flies or scented lures may be used on this water if they are 1.5 inches or longer.
-All Largemouth Bass sized from 12 to 15 inches must be returned to the water upon catching. Bag and posession limit is 2, with the Bass being larger than 15 inches.
-Smallmouth Bass and Walleye can negatively impact the recovery of native fishes. Anglers can help CPW control these fish by keeping their legal bag limit.
