The Park campgrounds offer 138 campsites, with many open 12 months of the year.

The Navajo Reservoir provides water storage for 110,000 acres of agricultural land on the Navajo Reservation. The Colorado side of the lake has about 3,000 acres. the Navajo State Park is a major outdoor recreation facility, with an average of 300,000 visitors a year.

Activities: biking, boating, cabins, yurts, camping, cross-country skiing, fishing, group picnicking, hiking, horseback riding (restricted), hunting, jet skiing, picnicking, sailing, swimming, water skiing, whitewater rafting, wildlife viewing, winter camping.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be closing Sylvan Lake State Park in April of 2018 for the reconstruction of the dam.

On the 42 acre lake, only non-motorized boats or boats with electric trolling motors. Paddle boards, canoes, and sit on top kayaks are available for rent from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is no swimming in the lake.

Park Headquarters are near Hayden, with river access, camping (50 campsites), a Visitor Center and nature trail. In total the Park offers 13 access places that stretch from Hayden to the Dinosaur National Monument. Visitors find six camping areas, miles of flat-water and paddling (Class I-V).

The lake contains 1,055 acres of water for fishing and water sports (full service marina). The area averages over 300 inches of snowfall, bringing winter activities such as snowmobiling, cross-country skiing (groomed trails) and snowshoeing. Camping at the Park offers both electric and non-electric sites for tents and RVs. At the Dutch Hill Campground there are showers, flush toilets, laundry facilities and a dump station. Steamboat Lake also has 10 camper cabins available for reservation.

Located 6 miles east of the Rifle Gap State Park, fishing is the draw to Harvey Gap. Sail boats and paddle boards are allowed, swimming, fishing, hunting, wildlife and bird watching.

Day use park with no overnight camping. Camping is available at the Rifle Falls and Rifle Gap State Parks. The only dogs allowed are during waterfowl season for hunting.

Year round fishing for Rainbow Trout, Northern Pike, Catfish, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Perch, Muskie and Crappie.

Boating: non-motorized boats, and boats with 20 horsepower or less engines are allowed; boat ramp

Winter: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, ice skating, snow tubing

Elevation: 6,400 feet

From Silt, go west of Highway 6/24, turn north on First Street, drive 1.2 miles to Silt Mesa Road, travel west to Harvey Gap Road (County Road 237), go north 3.4 miles to the State Park.

There are five campgrounds, with a total of 88 camp sites in the park. The park has 14 picnic sites for day use and a boat ramp.

Biking, boating, birding, camping, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hunting, ice fishing, wildlife viewing, swimming is restricted to the swim beach.

Wildlife viewing for mule deer, elk, coyote, weasels, rabbits and ground squirrels.

From Rifle, Highway 13 north for 3 miles, turn right on Highway 325 for 6 miles.

Listed in Sunset Magazine as one of the best waterfalls in the west. There are several natural limestone caves near the falls.

The state park has 13 camp sites with electricity for RVs and tents. There are 7 tent only walk-in sites for overnight camping along East Rifle Creek.
