Covering a 134 mile section of the Yampa River is the heart of this State Park. Park Headquarters are near Hayden, with river access, camping (50 campsites), a Visitor Center and nature trail. In total the Park offers 13 access places that stretch from Hayden to the Dinosaur National Monument. Visitors find six camping areas, miles of flat-water and paddling (Class I-V).
Activities: boating, camping, birding, fishing, picnicking, hiking, hunting, sand volleyball, horseshoes, & group picnicking (Park Headquarters Campground), and whitewater rafting.
Fish: Smallmouth Bass, Common Carp, Mountain Whitefish, Brook Trout, Brown Trout
Access: Difficult to Easy
Boating: Non-motorized

Park Headquarters Camping: 35 RV sites with electricity, 10 tent sites, showers, laundry facilities, and 5 sites for group camping.
