The San Miguel River area has fishing for everyone as it’s hallmark. From well stocked lakes, to prime water, this river appeals to all fishing skill levels. From the northern heights of the San Juan Mountains above the mountain town of Telluride, the San Miguel flows 81 miles to the northwest until it reaches the Dolores River near the Utah border. With runoff from April until late June, the river clears into July, with prime fishing from early July into mid September.
