The West End of Montrose County offers water options for the adventurous angler. On the San Miguel River from below Placerville to the Highway 90 Bridge offers access, the upper section pairs water access with BLM Campsites, with two campistes above the Highway 90 Bridge.

BLM Campsites:

Caddis Flats Campground:
Three developed campsites; 4 parking areas; no water; vault toilet, hand carry boat launch on the San Miguel River.
 
Lower Beaver Campground:
Located on Hwy 145, about .4 mile down river from the Beaver Creek Boat Ramp; two parking areas, 3 tent sites; vault toilet
 
Ledges Rock House Campground:
10 campsites on the San Miguel River; shade trees, vault toilets, no water.
 
Cottonwood Campground:
10 campsites on the San Miguel River; shade trees, vault toilets, no water.
 
Bedrock Recreation Site:
The Bedrock Recreation site is located on County Road Y9, one mile south of Highway 90 on a gravel road; site has 4 cabanas with tables, grills, tent areas and RV parking; there is a boat ramp for the Dolores River.
