Fish the Cimarron River

The Cimarron River, with a length of 22 miles until it flows into the Gunnison River, offers options for both lake and stream fishing. With Cutthroat, Rainbow, Brook, and even Tiger Trout, the Cimarron offers excellent fishing. The upper forks offer wilderness views with the Uncompahgre Wilderness Area. Tailwater fishing below Silver Jack reservoir offers good water, coupled with easy access. Forest Service campgrounds in the area bring an additional bonus for camping and fishing.
