Located in the western section of Montrose County, the West End offers an high desert environment, of mesas, wide valleys, and red rock canyons. Camping options are many, with dispersed camping, BLM campgrounds, and camping at the Dan Noble State Wildlife Area at Miramonte Reservoir.

Located on Hwy 145, about .4 mile down river from the Beaver Creek Boat Ramp; two parking areas, 3 tent sites; vault toilet, no water.
Caddis Flats Campground:
Located on Hwy 145;Three developed campsites; 4 parking areas; no water; vault toilet, hand carry boat launch on the San Miguel River.
Ledges Rock House Campground:
San Miguel Canyon, above Hwy 90 Bridge; 10 campsites on the San Miguel River; shade trees, vault toilets, no water.
Cottonwood Campground:
San Miguel Canyon, above the Hwy 90 Bridge;10 campsites on the San Miguel River; shade trees, vault toilets, no water.
USFS Campgrounds:
Byckeye Campground (USFS):
Located on the north side of Buckeye Reservoir, 30 campsites, 1 group site, vault toilets, 18 “less developed” tent sites around the reservoir. USFS link
Colorado State Campgrounds:
Miramonte Reservoir, Dan Noble SWA:
Located south of Norwood, camping sites around the Miramonte Reservoir; 32 campsites for tents or RV’s, no hookups, Dump Station, no Showers, no water, vault toilets.
