The Crystal River is one of the tributaries of the Roaring Fork River in Western Colorado. From the north side of Schofield Pass in Gunnison County, the Crystal flows through the ghost town of Crystal City to Marble. At Marble there are several pond fishing options with easy access. Flowing to the north-west the Crystal continues downstream past the small town of Redstone, to its confluence with the Roaring Fork River at Carbondale. The Crystal is a medium freestone river with small sized fish, most anglers use dries and nymphs.
