Located in the upper reaches of the North Fork Valley, the Paonia State Park has 334 acres of fishing on a reservior that when full has a length of two miles. Sitting at an elevation of 6,500 feet, the Park has 1,523 acres of alpine scenery and solitude.

Activities: fishing, camping, water skiing, power boats, sailing, canoeing and sailboarding.

Fishing from mid June to the middle of August. Fishing is also good in the tailwater below the dam.

Additional Info:
-Underwater spearfishing can be used for fishing of Northern Pike or Carp (if present) in accordance with the regulations issued by CPW.
-Underwater spearfishing is prohibited within 100 feet of any marina, boat ramp, swim beach or dam infrastructure.

Camping with 11 sites, there are no RV hookups or facilities, vault toilets only.

Park closes in early October until May.
