Located at the eastern edge of the Grand Valley, Palisade is the “peach capitol of Colorado.” When settlement was allowed in the 1880’s, agriculture was the primary mover of economic activity. Today, Palisade rests on the foundation of agriculture, yielding vineyards, orchards, and small farms.

Known for it’s annual Peach Festival, Palisade is also home to the well attended Colorado Mountain Wine Festival and the Lavender Festival. The local arts community continues to grow, including oil, pastel, and water color artists, along with sculptors, glass and clay artists.

Palisade is home to the Palisade Fruit and Wine Byway, the Palisade Rim Trails, and the future end point for mountain bike trail, The Palisade Plunge.
