2019 Hayden Cog Run: May 4, 2019

This is one of the longest consecutively run races of the series and in the state of Colorado! A Routt County Classic held in the small town of Hayden Colorado 25 minutes west of Steamboat.

Distances: 8.4 mile, 5k (roads). There will also be a 1 mile Kid’s Fun Run benefiting the Hayden Valley Elementary Health and Wellness Team.

8.4 mile and 5k – 10:00 am
Kid’s Run – 10:40 am
Registration:
Register online or on-site. On-site registration will be available from 9:00 to 9:45 am at the start line.

Packet Pick-Up: Please pick-up your packet at the registration table between 9:00 and 9:45 am on race day. No pre-event packet pick-up.

Registration Fees:
5k: $25
8 mile: $40
Racers 17 & under: $15

Kid’s 1 Mile Run: donation based

T-Shirt: $10 (must register before April 25th to guarantee t shirt)

No Refunds. Proceeds from this race will be donated to Hayden Valley Elementary Health and Wellness Team.

Course Description:

The Cog Run is a challenging 8.4 mile out and back course on Routt County Road #76. This race has approximately 3 miles of steep uphill and 3 miles of steep downhill slope with the turnaround point at the top of the Hayden Cog. Race offers spectacular views of the Yampa Valley.

The 5k run is out and back with rolling hills south of Hayden on County Road #53.

One water station provided for on the 8.4 mile course ONLY, no aid station for the 5k. In an effort to go cupless, we ask that you bring your own device for carrying water.

Pets: Not advisable for the Hayden Cog Run, considered for the 5k
